People Working Cooperatively (PWC) announced Wednesday it has secured more than $3,500 in grant funds to carry out its mission to repair the community one home at a time, specifically in West Chester.
Below is a portion of the news release:
PWC received two separate grants: one from The Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty and one from The Joe Busam Foundation in the amount of $2,500 and $1,350 respectively.
The grant from The Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty will be used for emergency repairs in West Chester. The organization aims to encourage, support and facilitate philanthropy and improve the quality of life in the communities of West Chester and Liberty Township.
In addition, The Joe Busam Foundation, which provides financial assistance to mentally, physically, emotionally, and developmentally handicapped persons, awarded a grant of $1,350 to be used for Modifications for Mobility in West Chester.
“Emergency home repairs and home modifications make a major difference in the lives of our clients,” said Jock Pitts, president of PWC. “We are very pleased that these foundations recognized both the need in West Chester and People Working Cooperatively’s ability to provide for that need.”
Homeowners who are in need of PWC’s services should contact PWC at 513-351-7921 or visit www.pwchomerepairs.org.
