UPDATE AT 3:33 P.M. - The game between Fairfield and Lakota East has been rescheduled for tomorrow, May 19, at 4:30 p.m. Senior day festivities will begin at 4 p.m.
POSTED AT 1:02 P.M. - Fairfield was scheduled to play at Lakota East this afternoon in a contest that was going to decide the 2011 Greater Miami Conference championship. The game has been rescheduled a few times due to weather.
For the Thunderhawks, who are ranked No. 1 in the final Ohio High School Softball Coaches Association poll, has never won a GMC title. Meanwhile, Fairfield (17-3 overall, 15-2 in the GMC) has not won a conference championship since 2001.

The two schools played once this season with Lakota East defeating Fairfield by the score of 2-1 in extra innings Apirl 14.
Lakota East (24-2 overall, 15-2 in the GMC) is scheduled to play Northmont at Fairmont High School in a district championship game this Saturday at 1 p.m. The winner will advance to the regional semifinal, which will be played next Thursday, May 26, at Mason High School.
