The first Cincinnati-area Smashburger will celebrate its grand opening this Saturday, Dec. 18, in West Chester. The new burger joint will be located at 7598 Cox Lane, across from the Voice of America Shopping Center.
Today from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. the new restaurant will host a sneak preview party. To attend the party, people had to be invited.
To celebrate opening weekend, Smashburger will donate 10 percent of sales Dec. 18 and Dec. 19 to the Thank You Foundation Holiday Support Program. The Holiday Support Program provides assistance during the holiday season for military families that are facing financial hardship due to deployment, injury or loss of employment. To make the donation, customers only need to mention the Thank You Foundation with their order.
Smashburger serves burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs and salads. It also features sides such as veggie frites and rosemary and garlic-seasoned French fries. Beverages will include beer, wine, Häagen-Dazs shakes and root-beer floats.
According to its press release, the Smashburger menu will also feature a special Buckeye Smashburger made with Ohio residents in mind. The Buckeye Smashburger starts with a one-third or half-pound 100-percent Certified Angus Beef burger topped with fried pepper rings, haystack onions, American cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo on a toasted egg bun.
Smashburger already has two locations in the Dayton area and is planning to open a total of 12 restaurants in the Dayton and Cincinnati region in the next few years.
