St. John the Evangelist Church will have its annual St. John Family Festival this weekend, Aug. 6-8.

The festival will feature a basket raffle, silent auction, rides, games, lots of food and beverages (adult and other).

“As a cradle Catholic, I’ve been to just about every Catholic festival in town and our basket
raffle is absolutely the best,” St. John the Evanglist Communications Coordinator Joan Seibenick said. The baskets are worth a minimum of $200 each and they are all themed.”

The basket themes include Halloween, Christmas, gardening, Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, Xavier, University of Cincinnati, family game night and college dorm room.

“We also have a GPS, iPod, digital camera and other electronic items as well. There
is a lottery ticket basket, spa baskets, you name it,” Seibenick said.

The food will have a Cincinnati favor and include pulled-pork sandwiches, potato pancakes and Saratoga Chips. Other food options include brats, burgers, hot dogs, baked potatoes, walking tacos and more.

The family festival will be open from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday, Aug. 6, from 5 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Aug. 7 and from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8.

Parking and admission are both free.

St. John the Evangelist Church is located at 9080 Cincinnati-Dayton Road.
